Persona skills can be used as per how the user likes using them, if that makes sense. In the game, characters had different catch phrases when using them, if you want, there's nothing stopping you from having your character call out the attacks either.
As for the support spells, that's entirely up to your character. If you want them to have stone-like feet if they are attack and the passive is there, go for it, if you just want a hidden stat boost, that's also fine, if you want them to walk around with stone-like shoes that's also acceptable! Go for whatever you enjoy the most.
